Short-Term Nursing and Rehabilitation in Detroit, MI

I can't say enough about Hartford. My grandmother was in this facility for roughly a month and the care that she received makes me have hope that there is good left in the world. Leaving your loved one in a rehabilitation center is so stressful. But Hartford lessened the stress of my family. I'll start with the fact that this place is clean. From the entrance to the rooms. I never was dissatisfied with cleanliness. I visited several times a week, often more than once a day, they would have her up out of bed and in clean clothes, her bed would be made, the trash cans emptied, etc. There was a problem with the sink outside of the bathroom that was irritating but overall the room met my standards. The nurses, food service, PT, and the CNA's were attentive and kind. S. Braxton, Lisa, Shannon, Dawn, Nya, and Jay are names that we saw pretty often and remember for good reason. They treated her like family, as if it were their grandmother that they were caring for, and I'm extremely grateful. There were a couple that I can't name that were not necessarily rude, but less than kind. Please keep this as a standard of patient care in your facility. It's so under valued and so hard to find. There is no peace greater than feeling like your loved one is being taken care of when they can't be with you. Once my grandmother called me because she was disoriented and couldn't remember how to call for help. It was 3am and I wanted to run up there, instead I picked up the phone and called the nurses desk who assured me they'd send someone to her room right away. I hung up and called my grandmother back and someone was already in her room assisting and reassuring her. You have people there that are not just there to get paid, they care about the patients; well done! What would make this place better in my opinion? The lady that sits at the front desk could definitely be friendlier. I don't think I ever saw her smile if I'm being honest. She really only said a "good morning" or "have a good day" if we said it first, which I didn't mind much, but I think being the first person that you see when entering should have a more welcoming disposition. A few more staff wouldn't hurt. I'm aware that we live in a time where every place is understaffed. I think this place operates pretty smoothly from my perspective with the staff that it has, but as I said this is something that would make it better. Some things were a little slow, like when my grandmother wanted a shower, or sometimes food was late. Overall I'd really like to say thank you to Hartford Rehabilitation. And I would trust them with family, and recommend them to people that I care about.

I can honestly say that Hartford Rehabilitation did not disappoint. The staff was professional and very attentive to my husband during his stay. I am forever thankful to them all.

This is an AMAZING facility. My grandmother was here and she was treated so well and very cared for. This was a very clean place, and I have no complaints. The staff were so sweet and helpful and my grandmother enjoyed her stay here. Thank you so much Hartford!

I was at Hartford for 3 months and I would highly recommend them for everyone that needs rehabilitation and nursing. I got there after being laid up in a hospital for a month and I couldn't take no more than 2 steps. Their rehabilitation room helped me tremendously to regain my strength and now I am back to work today. Everyone from the Doctors to the CNA's were both professional and courteous. The care and kindness they showed me while I was there will never be forgotten. I'm grateful for all their help and rehabilitation that I received.

Shout out to Nicole helped me with all the formalities of getting my mother situated. Ms Myles and Ms Dixon! They have been so kind and compassionate! I appreciate them! Not one day went by that they didn’t ensure that my mother was ok. Everyone is kind but these ladies made imprints in my heart that didn’t go unnoticed and will be forever appreciated. The facility is nice and clean. Mom was a fan of the food 😂.

I normally never give 5 stars because I believe there's always room for improvement. However Hartford Nursing and Rehabilitation deserves 5 stars and then more! The place is really clean (I went at different times) and the staff is awesome! My moms nurse Ms. Braxton and her aide Ms. Richardson was wonderful ❤️ if you're looking for Rehabilitation this is the place to be. Ms. Braxton and Ms Richardson took excellent care of her as if she was their family. You can see that they care about what they do in their work. Ms. Richardson had my mother dressed and her hair combed so beautiful every day and they spoke to her with such tender care and love. I can't say enough good things about the place or staff! Especially Nurse Braxton and Ms Richardson!!! You guys are AWESOME 💜💜💜

I’m so grateful for the management and staff in this facility. My mom has been in this facility for a year now and they have taken really good care of her. She’s really happy with the care she receives and the beautiful people she’s met. On top of that she loves her roommate, they get along very well and take care of one another. I feel like I couldn’t have chosen a better facility for my mom. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is in need of care for their love ones. Thank you

My mother was a patient here for 30 days. We absolutely love the care that she received. Everyone was extremely friendly. Because my mother was so nervous about being away from home for a month the Director of Nursing Virginia Shields and the Assistant Director of Nursing Yolanda Dean checked in with her daily to make sure she was ok. She received her medication on time (which was very important to our family) and there were plenty activities for them. The nurses were awesome and professional housekeeping made sure the trash stayed empty. Everyone was so helpful and caring. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing long term or short term care.

From the moment we entered the facility, we were greeted with warmth and compassion. The nursing staff was attentive, ensuring my grandmother's comfort and well-being at all times. The physical therapists were knowledgeable and dedicated, tailoring rehabilitation exercises to her specific needs, leading to a speedy recovery. The entire team displayed professionalism and empathy, making us feel like family. I cannot commend them enough for their outstanding care and support during that challenging time. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

My grandmother has stayed and rehabbed at Hartford a couples times and had a really good experience, the nurses were nice and attentive; once was back before the renovations and just recently after and I must say they’ve done a really nice job with their additions to the facility! Thank you Hartford staff.
