Short-Term Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ann Arbor, MI

My husband and I stopped by to see the facility for an aging parent. Driving up, the building is situated on a peaceful plot of land making it feel welcoming. The building appeared to be well maintained and upon entering, we were greeted by welcoming staff. Inside was neat, clean, and updated - not rundown looking. Overall, we had a good first impression and if and when the time comes, we would definitely consider this facility for our family member.

Unfortunately, this is the second time my mother had to go to short-term rehab this year, but fortunately Regency is a great place for it. They provided excellent rehabilitation services, nursing services, and back office services as I had to work with them through a complicated transfer process to an assisted living facility. Hopefully we don't need another rehab stay, but if we do, Regency would be our top choice for it.

My father has been a patient here, struggling initially with a leg injury but had a series of other medial needs that were unexpected. The team was supportive, kind, and always professional. The food portions are small but the food is overall good. The facility has a nice eating room that is great for those that want to be social. I would recommend this place to others.

I had a broken hip and had to go to a rehab facility and had a horrible experience. The people there were extremely unfriendly and kept me in my feces for days. I was starved to death and lost 40 lbs in one week. Years later, in the hospital again and am being told I need to go to rehab AGAIN. The hospital suggested Regency to me and although they gave rave reviews, I was extremely hesitant and nervous to go because of my previous experience at a rehab center. I was totally surprised when I was transferred here and how I was immediately greeted, fed and taken care of. I have nothing but good things to say about Regency Bluffs Park. I am glad I faced my fears and decided to give rehab another chance. I was nursed back to health in a week because of the wonderful nursing care and pt/ot services I received and now I get to go home feeling so much better!!!

My experience here has been great. The staff is very considerate, kind and efficient. They go out of their way to take care of me. Extra stars go to the therapy department. They have been wonderful. They could expand on their variety of cable stations. When you're getting rehab and can't get out of bed a lot, they could have more options to watch.

I have been to Regency a few times for a short term rehab stay and what keeps me coming back is the spry décor. Among all the professionals everyone exhibits a high level of professionalism and knowledge and each and every staff member spreads their kindness and compassion to the patients. I have an appreciation for the landscaping outside the building and the courtyards and it is something nice to be able to enjoy after a hard day’s work in therapy. It is nice being so close to downtown Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan hospital. I like that Regency Bluffs Park has a collaboration with the University of Michigan hospital and is able to access all my records and that I get to be seen in the facility by a UM Physician. Being so close in proximity to downtown Ann Arbor has allowed me the opportunity to order in food from some of my favorite Ann Arbor restaurants (Zingermans and Cottage Inn). If the circumstances requires it, I would GLADLY return to Regency Bluffs Park!

I was at Regency Bluffs Park for over three weeks for rehab and have had a delightful experience. All of the staff is so nice and caring. Whenever I needed assistance I was always treated kindly and never got an attitude from the staff. I enjoyed working with therapy and attending the facilities activities. The food is also very good! The hospital gave me a lot of places to choose from for skilled nursing and I’m glad I picked Bluffs Park!!

For the first time in 3 years, I was able to place my partner in a facility and have some time to deal with some personal health issues I haven't had time to deal with, an she had No Complaints. They were absolutely Fantastic with her, and that's saying something because she's totally a Marine Brat who can be pretty stubborn. Lol! From a CNA perspective, they could not have been better, and I can't thank them enough for taking such Great Care of her. You are all amazing! My only issue with her overall care there was that they for some reason decided to change her catheter that had only been in for a week without inquiring about it, which is not an easy task, so they ended up putting it in the wrong place a couple of times then decided, again without inquiring, to downsize it, so of course, it's leaking everywhere, but that's nothin worth complaining about, in my opinion. I would just like Caregivers like me who spend literally all of our time Caregiving without a clock to punch out, to be acknowledged more and when there's something like being unsure about the date of cath placement, they would Simply Ask. Overall, this is an Exceptional Facility with an Amazing Staff.

I am a physician and my 98-year-old mother stayed here the past 10 days. I can’t see enough about this facility. It is clean, it is satisfactory in appearance from the inside and beautiful from the outside, and the nursing, physical and rehabilitation therapies, and administration could not be nicer top to bottom. I would have zero problems my mother here and it’s affiliation with the university of Michigan is an added perk. She was able to see her doctor Here. Should she need such facilities in the future, I would definitely come here.

Ive been here a few times over the years and this is the best place of all of them. Way better than Glacier Hills and Medilodge of Livingston. Therapy is awesome. Shayla in PT and Sonia in OT are amazing. Nikita and Brent are the best nurses. Lindsey is good as well. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My grandmother was here for a few months. I work in EMS and am often wary of any type of assisted living/nursing facility. I live on the other side of the state and was extremely nervous about the care my grandmother would receive. The first time I visited my grandmother, all of my worries vanished. From the moment that I walked in, I knew she was in good hands. The staff were beyond accommodating and friendly. Each and every staff member (from the custodian to the directors/managers) were attentive to both the residents AND their families. I would like to sing the praises of one stand out employee--Lavina (I think that is spelled correctly). She worked hard to break down the barriers and walls that my grandmother put up. She connected with her and got her to open up. She was an advocate, a care taker, and had a heart of gold. Regency shatters the stereotypes that other facilities have. The staff are attentive and genuinely care. The facility is CLEAN! I thank the staff, at Regency, for giving my grandmother the care and love she needed...and for allowing her to keep her dignity. Lavina, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and passion for your patients brings a tear to my eye. You made a difference in my grandmother's life, and her family.

A lot of people went out of there way to help me throughout my stay. Shayla, Courtney, Cindy, Shakayla to name a few. There was some good food, some not so much. Everyone was so nice.

My Mother fell at her home and required rehab, and ultimately permanent care. We were so Happy with the quality of care, we would have had her stay at the Bluffs for long term care. They do not offer long term care. The people took Great care of my Mother, some names I remember: Jillian, Brent, Jada, Jennifer, Nicky, Duha all were exceptional care givers. I thank everyone at the Bluffs for the exceptional level of care for my Mother. I recommend The Bluffs to anyone in need of Rehabilitation

This is the best rehab facility in the country This is the fourth rehab I hav visited since July 2023 Why do I love this place? Everyone treats you like family, everyone the support staff, nurses, aides, maintenance and housekeeping The physical/occupational therapy is the best I would like to give special thanks to: Courtney, Betty, Melissa,Sonia If I have left out anyone I apologize Nurses- Brent was always there and provided great service His support staff was excellent too Aides All were super helpful and friendly I especially enjoyed working with Tripti, Jada, Madison, and an aide I think her first name starts with D She is from Palestine. Gary from maintenance and Marty and a red haired young lady from housekeeping were splendid Megan from social work and just all of the support staff shined If I forgot your name I am sorry This is a wonderful facility and I recommend it highly

I have been at regency for 2 years now. I was recommended regency by UM hospital. I really like that it is close to the hospital and that they schedule appts for me and arrange transportation for me to get to my appointments and back. I am very appreciative of tamara the wound care nurse and all she has done for me. I also like that they keep my family informed of all my care and utilize a patient portal. I highly recommend regency for all their skilled nursing needs.
